This exterior door suffered from not having a proper storm door protecting it from the harsh New Hampshire winters and rain. Water intrusion slowly rotted away the base of the frame, exposing the threshold ends to the elements. Eventually, the threshold separated from the floor and no longer functioned as it should, which allowed more water intrusion. Although this project was fairly straightforward, any rot repair always brings with it the potential to become larger than anticipated.
